High-Tech Flexible Braided Stainless Transmission Dipsticks

Kit comes complete with braided stainless outer housing and heat resistant E-Z to Read Teflon inner rod.  Inner rod is stamped with appropriate trans fluid levels.  Machined aluminum handle and aluminum fittings.  Designed for “push-in” style transmissions.  Dipstick seals with O-rings.  Applications available for GM, Ford and Chrysler in both firewall mount and transmount.  Firewall mount measures 24” in length.  Transmount mounts to the bell housing and the length varies according to the transmission application.  Kit comes complete with installation instructions.

Engine Dipsticks

Flexible Engine Dipsticks designed with machined aluminum handle to coordinate with Lokar’s Flexible Transmission Dipstick.  Slim design allows mounting inside headers.  Designed for use with factory or Sanderson cast manifolds.  Applications available for GM, Ford and Chrysler.  EZ read stainless stick for accurate measure of engine oil.

Throttle Cables

All Lokar Throttle Cables are available in either stainless steel braided housing or black housing.  They are designed with a specially extruded liner for extended life of the cable—not to be confused with ordinary braided brake hose.  Cables are equipped with aluminum fittings and aluminum ferrules to eliminate fraying.  “U-Cut-to-Fit” stainless inner wire.  Clevis is designed without cotter pins or set screws.  Adapts to factory and aftermarket pedals.  Custom lengths available upon request.  Cables mount nicely with Lokar’s Stainless Steel Carburetor Bracket and Return Springs (sold separately).  Kits complete with installation instructions.

Kickdown Cables

Lokar’s “U-Cut-to-Fit” Braided Stainless Kickdown Cable is designed with a specially extruded liner for extended life of the cable—not to be confused with ordinary brake hose.  Kickdown features aluminum fittings with ferrule to eliminate frayed cable ends.  Kickdowns are adaptable for all types of manifolds including tunnel ram, blower manifolds and Weber induction systems.  Mount our kickdown with our Stainless Steel Carburetor Bracket and Return Springs (sold separately).  All units are available in black housing upon special request.  Complete instructions included in kit.

Throttle Cable Bracket & Spring Kits

Stainless bracket mounts to rear of Holley, Edelbrock, AFB, Quadrajet, Demon, and In-Line Dual Quads.  Stainless bracket and GM designed dual stainless springs are used to mount Lokar’s Throttle Cable and Kickdown assemblies.  Design provides improved clearance on Edelbrock carbs.  Design includes tension screw to prevent bracket from movement under extreme pressure on a kickdown cable, such as with a 700-R4 transmission.

U-Cut-toFit Speedometer Cable Kits

Premium housing designed with a specially extruded liner for extended life of the cable and machined aluminum fittings.  Inner cable and outer housing can be “U-Cut-to-Fit”.  Kit comes complete with all fittings and is available for GM, Ford and Chrysler applications.  (Gauges not included)

Lokar Speedometer Cables are designed to work with any cable driven aftermarket speedometer gauges (such as Auto Meter, Stewart Warner, Classic Instruments, etc.) or factory speedometer with a 5/8-18 male thread at the speedo.

All Lokar Speedometer Cables are seven feet (7’) long and designed to be “U-Cut-to-Fit”.  Additional length cable in black or stainless housing is available upon request for an additional charge.  Speedometer Cables for some early Ford speedos are available by special order.  These speedometers must have a 3/4 x 20 female thread at the speedometer.

Hood & Trunk Release Cable Kits

Machined billet aluminum handle assembly for both the hood and trunk.  The cables are “U-Cut-to-Fit”, designed with specially extruded liner for extended life of the cable, with aluminum fittings and stainless steel inner wire.  Hood release includes aluminum firewall fittings and cable stop.  Outer housing is 18 inches inside the vehicle and 6 feet under the hood.  Inner wire is 9 feet long.  Trunk release includes cable stop and the outer housing is 15 feet long and the inner wire is 16 feet long.  Requires cable-operated latches.  Right hand kits available upon request.
